Gavin joined Knowles Husain Lindsay in 2006 and was appointed as a director in 2010. 

His practice area is corporate and commercial litigation, with additional expertise in insolvency, business rescue, restructuring, gambling law and administrative law. 

He has represented clients in various South African Courts, in arbitrations and before quasi-judicial forums. He has also assisted clients with the drafting of, and advising on, complex commercial agreements and high value transactions, as well as representing clients in curatorship applications. 

Gavin has been recognised by Best Lawyers for litigation in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and by Thomson Reuters Standout Lawyer in 2026.
