Mohamed is one of the founding partners of KHL. He has more than 40 years of experience and is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most experienced corporate litigation attorneys.
His specialty is corporate and commercial litigation. He also has expertise in administrative law, medical schemes law and corporate governance.
He has represented clients in matters before the Constitutional Court, Supreme Court of Appeal, various South African Superior Courts, and the Competition Appeal Court. He also has extensive experience in resolving disputes by way of arbitration and mediation.
Mohamed has been recognised by the peer-review publication Best Lawyers for his expertise in litigation, for many years. The publication awarded him the title of “Lawyer of the Year” in litigation in 2018. He has been listed as a lead lawyer in dispute-resolution by PLC Which Lawyer and by Chambers Global.
Mohamed is currently the independent, non-executive Chair of JSE-listed Reunert Limited.

- Chair of JSE-listed Andulela Investment Holdings Limited.
- President of the Law Society of the Northern Provinces.
- Council member of the Law Society of South Africa.
- Acting judge of the High Court (Witwatersrand Local Division).
- Adviser to the Constitutional Assembly in respect of the drafting of the final South African Constitution.
- Acting President and Vice-President of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers.
- Provincial Electoral Officer responsible for conducting SA’s first democratic elections in 1994 in the Greater Johannesburg Region.

Mohamed has presented papers at legal conferences in London, Australia, Kuala Lumpur, Kenya, Namibia, Mozambique, Hong Kong, Zambia, Nigeria, India and South Africa. He has been interviewed on both foreign and local television, and by the print and news media, on a range of legal and rule-of-law issues.
